The week before Easter, World Dance raised $10,620 through an online campaign to purchase 236 goats for the Genda Ugire Utyo (“Go and Do That”) Cooperative in Eastern Rwanda. We are so grateful to everyone who took part! On April 24th, the community welcomed their goats, with amazement!  They couldn’t believe this miracle had happened in their lives.

"After such a long time, praying hard, with much patience, the dream of having a goat for each member of Genda has become a reality. This was one of my most exciting moments, watching those women receiving their goats. Lives have been given new directions. I wish I would fully express my gratitude to everyone who contributed toward this end. Keep up your life-changing spirit." Justin Bisengimana"Our song today is, 'We are happy, we received what we have been waiting for long time' indeed, I am happy that I am so much cared about by people from far away. I feel my life is taken into loving hands. My development is at my fingertips. What you can see me holding is the provider of my fertilizer and the source of money to send my kids to school, buying medication when any family member fells sick, buying healthcare and paying for food I cannot produce in my farming. All of this because of our donors' love." Vanessie
