As the remembrance of the 20th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide drew to a close, World Dance for Humanity invited the community to a Rwanda benefit at a favorite Santa Barbara dance club. It was an amazing night of non-stop dancing to the irresistible funk-soul sound of SOULBISCUIT… and we raised a total of $1,500, toward the purchase of two full-grown, pregnant cows for the Tubeho sub-group in Never Again Fellowship. These cows will change the lives of the community, providing desperately needed milk for children and fertilizer for crops.
THANK YOU SOULBISCUIT, SOHO’S, AND DANCERS!!! Get your love beads ready for our next Soul Funk Soho party in August!
- Justin Bisengimana in Rwanda: “This was a superb event dear Janet. With only photos I can tell how beautiful and moving it was. I am glad you name the cow after the band’s name. I hope they are so much happy and this will build such strong memories in their lives.”
