The Women of Twirererabana – Joyful!

! Twire dance for goats c

On Saturday, May 16th, our Rwanda Team delivered 25 goats to the Twirererabana women in their remote village in the mountains above Kigali. This cooperative was founded in 2013 by Oliva, who brought together other unwed mothers to help each other survive. World Dance for Humanity is a solid partner in the development of these courageous women. We have given them a piece of farm land, 55 goats, a cow named Merilyn (that recently gave birth to a beautiful calf named Frankie), and sponsored seven girls to attend boarding high school. The progress of these women is inspiring us all!

“We really have what to say. Our lives have been tremendously transformed, we are no longer who people used to think we are. We contribute so significantly to the development of our village and our country because of our donors. This goat I am holding will bring me very far in my family development. Thank you donors for your love and money for our continuous well-beings.” Denise

“This is fertilizer from our cows, we gather it here and carry it to our land to feed our crops. Our World Dance sisters can see that their commitment toward us is not in vain. Lives are being transformed so much.” Oliva, Co-op Leader
