At 3:00pm on Saturday, October 25, 2014, hundreds of World Dance Zombies arose rise from the lawn of the Santa Barbara Courthouse Sunken Gardens to perform Michael Jackson’s iconic dance as part of a global phenomenon, Thrill the World. This was the 5th year World Dance hosted Thriller Santa Barbara. The experience included 10 days of fabulous flashmobs. It’s was fantastic opportunity for dancers and non-dancers to take part in an incredibly fun community event!
THRILLER PARTICIPANTS – THRILLER PARTICIPANTS 2014
OUR THRILLER BENEFICIARIES – IN RWANDA & HERE AT HOME
Our purpose in producing the Thriller event each year is to help people in need. We raise the funds through event sponsorships, practice fees (a one-time fee of $35 for 5 weeks of lessons), and sponsorships. 100% of every donation goes to our beneficiaries, and all donations are tax-deductible. Our goal in 2014 is to raise $35,000 for our Rwanda Education Fund. This will make it possible for 100 students to attend school in 2015 – who would otherwise have no chance to get an education. A portion of the funds will go to Santa Barbara’s AHA! Teen Program and the Westside and Santa Maria Boys & Girls Clubs. Click here to become an Event Sponsor, to Sponsor a Dancer, or make a Donation.
We invite all dancers to get SPONSORED to dance. Ask your family, friends, colleagues if they’ll support your Zombie adventure! Top Thriller fundraisers receive a free, blissful MASSAGE for themselves or a friend, by Eliane Alexandre, Louise Janis, Diane Russell, Jennifer Schwartz, or Linda Taylor.
