On Saturday, Oct. 28th at 3:00pm, hundreds of World Dance Zombies will rise from the lawn of Santa Barbara’s stunning Courthouse Sunken Gardens to perform a simplified version of Michael Jackson’s iconic dance. We’ll be dancing simultaneously with groups all over the world as part of a global event,
Thrill the World. This will be the 7th year World Dance for Humanity is hosting the experience, which will include flashmobs all over town leading up to Halloween.
On Sunday, Oct. 29th, we’ll take Thriller to Santa Ynez Valley, with flashmobs in the town squares and wineries, culminating in a Michael Jackson tribute at the gates of Neverland and a funk soul dance party at Cold Spring Tavern. For the first time, we’ll also be teaching and performing Thriller and doing flashmobs in Carpinteria in partnership with the Carpinteria Art Center.
No dance experience needed – all ages and abilities are welcome!
Individuals, schools, dance studios, and community groups are all invited to join us.
Practices start ON-TIME – please come early to register.
We teach the whole dance at every practice – don’t be shy to jump and get started any time!

GET SPONSORED TO DANCE
For fun, and for children in Rwanda and in our own community!
Our purpose in hosting Thriller is to have a fabulous time dancing with each other while helping people in need. Our goal is to raise $40,000 for our Rwanda Education Fund. This will help make it possible for 150 young people from impoverished families throughout Rwanda to attend school who would otherwise have no chance to get an education. A portion of the funds will also provide Membership Scholarships for the Westside Boys and Girls Club so some of the most disadvantaged children in Santa Barbara can take part in their after school program where World Dancers volunteer.
You can help us by getting sponsored to dance by your friends and family. Every penny we raise will go to our beneficiaries, and all donations are tax-deductible. People can give you cash or a check (made to WD4H) which you can bring to practice or to the Sunken Gardens on the 28th. They can also donate through Online.
100% of all donations will go to our beneficiaries, and all donations are tax-deductible.
Prizes for top fundraising Zombies include:
A Harbor Cruise on the Sunbum Sailboat, a massage by Celina, a facial by Louise, a 2-month gym special at the Training Room, a $50 Gift Certificate at Joe’s Cafe, a month of FREE World Dance classes…
