All Saints by the Sea Episcopal Church made a wonderful donation to WD4H in the Spring of 2015, enabling us to buy 3 cows for our Twa (Pygmy) community and completely changing the lives there. They’re putting on a holiday fair to celebrate the holidays as a time of giving, and have invited us to have a booth there where we can offer our Rwanda gift cards.

World Dancer Starr Siegele has extended a very special invitation to the World Dance community on behalf of the Santa Barbara Chapter of Human Rights Watch. Starr will be hosting her dear friend, Olara Otunnu, former Undersecretary General for Children and Armed Conflict at the United Nations, for a discussion on “The Struggle for Freedom and Democracy in Africa” focused on the situation in Uganda. Starr is preparing a buffet tasting of Ugandan food, and World Dance will lead a Ugandan dance (we’ll be practicing it in class). Please join us for this very special opportunity to get to know others interested in Africa, and partake in a splendid evening at Starr and Larry’s beautiful home.
